Shipping & Returns Information


royal mail logoOur shipping fees are dynamically calculated based on the weight, size and type of postal method. Unlike many other stores we do not mark up shipping costs for an extra profit and therefore you pay a fairer fee for your parcel packaging and delivery.   • Royal Mail 1st Class
    For smaller, lighter orders of up to 5kg, we offer Royal Mail 1st Class post to the UK & Northern Ireland.
    Typical delivery time: 1-3 working days.

  • Royal Mail 1st Class Recorded Signed For ™
    We also offer 1st Class Recorded, which provides a signed delivery and online tracking for parcels up to 5kg.
    We recommend this option for all small packages.
    Typical delivery time: 1-3 working days.

  • Royal Mail 2nd Class
    For smaller, lighter orders of up to 1kg, we offer a cheaper, non-urgent alternative to 1st Class post. Available to the UK & Northern Ireland.
    Typical delivery time: 3-5 working days.

  • Royal Mail 2nd Class Recorded Signed For ™
    We offer 2nd Class Recorded for light items, which provides a signed delivery and online tracking for parcels up to 1kg.
    We recommend this option for all small packages.
    Typical delivery time: 3-5 working days.

  • Royal Mail Standard Parcels
    For larger parcels (up to 20kg or for items over £32) we provide a cheaper, but slightly slower, parcel delivery method. Please note: this is not a signed for/tracked service; we can however provide a certificate of posting if required.
    Typical delivery time: 3-5 working days.

  • Royal Mail specialdelivery® Next Day
    We understand that you may be eager to get your hands on your goods as soon as possible, be it for yourself or perhaps a birthday gift for another. We therefore offer a next working day courier delivery method for parcels up to 10kg.
    Delivery time: 1 working day.


Delayed or undelivered mail - We ask that all customers with delayed mail wait 15 working days, as this is the maximum period that Royal Mail stipulate mail delivery may take before it is considered lost or undeliverable. If no parcel has been delivered within this time, then we submit a P58 claim form and Royal Mail investigate the situation with the postal staff involved with delivery to your address.

 

Returns Information


While we are confident in the quality of our products, we understand that there are certain circumstances where products may need to be returned to us. If you would like to return an item please email us and we can arrange a refund/replacement.


  • Where we are at fault
    For situations where we are at fault, ie. we sent the wrong item, Stone Chest will cover the cost of return shipping if you ship via our chosen method and include the receipt. We will either replace or refund your item in full according to your preference.

  • Damaged/Faulty items
    For goods that have been damaged in transit we may need to file a complaint with Royal Mail / Parcel Force before issuing a refund. If you believe the received goods to be faulty please let us know within 7 days and we can arrange a replacement for you.

  • Unwanted items
    You may return unwanted items within 7 days of receiving them (in accordance with the Distance Selling Act) for a refund excluding shipping fees, providing that all items are complete and undamaged. Please note: for credit/debit card orders returned after the cool off period, we reserve the right to levy a small 3% restocking fee to cover the card transaction fees associated with the original sale.
